The health sector in the North Central Province operates under the overall authority of the Line Ministry of Health, which is responsible for formulating national health policies, standards, and guidelines.At the provincial level, health services in the North Central Province are administered by the Ministry of Health of the North Central Province , which operates under the North Central Provincial Council.

Our province
The largest province in Sri Lanka – 10,472 km² across Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa districts. Health care reaches every community through 30 Medical Officer of Health (MOH) areas, linked to the PDHS office, two RDHS offices and nine base hospitals.
