ABOUT THE UNIT
What we do
The Establishment Branch handles the human resource and administrative matters of the staff of the Provincial Department of Health Services, from appointment to retirement.
It is headed by the Deputy Provincial Director (Administration), W.A.C.K. Wickramasinghe and the Administrative Officer, Wasantha Rathnayake, supported by a Chief Management Service Officer and 11 Management Service Officers.

Main functions
- Establishment matters of staff
- Vehicle services, maintenance and other vehicle matters
- Regularising land of institutions and clinic centres under the department
- Providing information to requesters under the Right to Information Act
- Disciplinary matters, for effective use of human resources
- Investigations into vehicle accidents and follow-up action
- Training programmes to develop better-trained staff
