What we do

The Renal Disease Prevention (CKD) Unit leads the prevention, early detection and care of chronic kidney disease – a major public health concern in the North Central Province.

It is led by the Medical Officer (Renal Disease Prevention).

Managed by the CKD Unit, with a Supervising Public Health Inspector as officer-in-charge.

  • Care and support for kidney patients before and after admission to Teaching Hospital Anuradhapura for renal treatment
  • Running the Central Laboratory of the RDHS Office, Anuradhapura
